In some cases, SAS Enterprise Guide might not enforce the Masked single line option for prompts. Specifically, if your prompt Name includes the word "password," the Masked single line option is ignored if "password" is not entered in all uppercase letters.

Here is an example of a prompt Name that masks the value in the log properly: 

10 %LET Name_Prompt_PASSWORD = XXXXX;

Here is an example of prompt Name that does not mask the value in the log

10 %LET Name_Prompt_password = Alfred;
