Problem Note 62330: In a non-English environment, saving SAS® Visual Analytics reports might fail with an error
If your operating system language is not set to English, then the following error might appear when you attempt to save a SAS Visual Analytics report:
An error was encountered saving the report
This error is more likely to occur after you have rearranged and adjusted the size of report objects. SAS Visual Analytics saves the dimensions of the report objects as percentages of the available screen space. If the saved percentage contains a decimal, then this problem can occur and you cannot save the report. For example, this problem would occur if the width of the report object was 49.5% instead of 50%.
If you encounter this error, you can resolve the issue by modifying the Layout properties for the report object. Specifically, open the Options pane for the object, and expand Layout. Adjust the Specify width and Specify height options so that the values do not include decimals.
You can avoid this problem in the future by modifying the locale setting in the /etc/sysconfig/sas/sas-java-viya configuration file. Replace LANG=nb_NO.UTF-8 with LANG=en_US.UTF-8. To enforce the change, restart SAS® Viya® services.
