Usage Note 62195: The "java.lang.ClassNotFoundException..." might occur when a graph tries to render in SAS® IT Resource Management
When you use Internet Explorer and the SAS IT Resource Management middle tier is installed on Windows Server 2012, graphs that are generated using the Java device driver might not render correctly. In this scenario, you might encounter errors similar to the following:
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.sas.graphics.applets.tilechart.TileChart
This error occurs due to a connection issue that affects the browser’s ability to access the Java applet that is required to render the graph.
Note: This problem does not occur when the middle tier is installed on Windows Server 2016.
To work around this issue, complete these steps:
- Open your Java folder.
- On the General tab, select Network Settings.
- In the Network Settings dialog box, select Direct connection and click OK.
