Problem Note 62051: Prompts within stored processes created in SAS® Enterprise Guide® might lose properties when you edit them in SAS® Management Console
In SAS Enterprise Guide, you can create a stored process with dynamic prompts. This process requires a data source that you can choose in the appropriate field.
The following image shows an example of a dynamic prompt within a stored process created in SAS Enterprise Guide. Note that Data Source: Class and Column: Name were added and Alice; Barbara were chosen as Default values.

If you use SAS Management Console to perform changes to the stored process later, then you might encounter the following unexpected behaviors:
- The Data source and Column fields might become empty when you reopen the stored process in SAS Enterprise Guide:

- Also, if you add new default values into the stored process within SAS Management Console, the new values might not be used when you execute the stored process in SAS Enterprise Guide.
For example, the following image shows Carol added to the Default Values list in the stored process within SAS Management Console:

However, when the stored process is opened within SAS Enterprise Guide and executed, the value added in SAS Management Console is not used:

To avoid these problems, SAS strongly recommends that you do not edit prompts created within SAS Enterprise Guide in SAS Management Console and vice versa.
