Problem Note 61654: The SAS® 360 Discover module fails when the CXT_ETL_cxt_1101_stage_sessions is not cleaned properly

In SAS® Customer Intelligence 360, the SAS 360 Discover module might fail when the CXT_ETL_cxt_1101_stage_sessions job runs. The failure occurs because the SAS 360 Discover CXT ETL reset job does not clean EXTRACT_HISTORY tables correctly. When this problem occurs, the following error appears in the CXT_ETL_cxt_1101_stage_sessions failed job log:

ERROR: BY variables are not properly sorted on data set WORK.SESSIONS.

To resolve this problem and restart the CXT ETL job, follow these steps:

  1. Make a backup of all history tables in the CXTCNFG files.
  2. Manually delete the records from history tables for the failed run or delete all records from the history tables.
  3. Initiate the SAS 360 Discover CXT_ETL process.

After you perform these steps, the failure and error should no longer occur with job CXT_ETL_cxt_1101_stage_sessions.
