Problem Note 61602: In SAS® Pack Optimization, using the Request API for allocations with DC Splits might miscalculate pack quantities for stores
In SAS® Pack Optimization, pack quantities might be miscalculated across stores.
The problem occurs when you are using the Request API for allocations with Distribution Center ("DC") split scenarios. In these DC split scenarios, in order to fix violated constraints, Pack Optimization might not be calculated across DCs. In these cases, certain DCs might not be given enough packs, and pack swapping among DCs to fix the violated constraints might not occur.
There are no errors or warnings to indicate a problem.
Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.
After the fix is available, a new global setting called IGNORE_DC_IN_REPAIR is available. The DC Split repair step functionality is enabled by setting the value of the global setting to "1". See the Hot Fix Instructions in Hot Fix W19015 for instructions to install this new global setting.
