Problem Note 61526: Launching SAS® Enterprise Miner(tm) via Java Web Start displays “Java Application Blocked by Java Security”
When using SAS Enterprise Miner via Java Web Start, the following error might be displayed at launch:
Application Blocked by Java Security
Reason: Your security settings have blocked an application signed with an expired or not-yet-valid certificate from running
To resolve this issue, add to the Java Exception Site List the URL that is used to access SAS Enterprise Miner via Java Web Start.
The default format of the URL is protocol://host-name:port/. Example: http://sampleservername:7980. If you are using Windows with the default port (80), then the URL might not include a port. In that cause, you can omit the port from your URL.
One way to determine Your URL is to view the Status page of SAS Enterprise Miner via Java Web Start. Example: http://sampleservername:7980/SASEnterpriseMiner/Status

After adding the URL to the Java Site Exception List, clear the Java cache, and then launch SAS Enterprise Miner via Java Web Start. Instructions for clearing the Java cache are located on this page: https://www.java.com/en/download/help/plugin_cache.xml
