Problem Note 61277: Date and time values are truncated in an export table in SAS® Marketing Automation

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

Date and time values might be truncated to 33 characters when you use Custom Details tags in a treatment for an export table in SAS Marketing Automation.

This problem might happen when multiple treatments are assigned in a campaign and you have conditions that are similar to the following:

  • Under Environment Variables ► Campaign (on the Setup tab) in SAS® Customer Intelligence Studio, the parameter Separator for treatment values is set to Comma, as shown below.

    Value for Separator parameter

  • Under Holdouts in the properties for the Communication node, Enable Holdout is selected.
  • Two or more treatments are assigned in a campaign.
  • Each treatment uses two Date elements with a value of Date and time for Date type.

    Two Date Elements

  • Each Custom Details element in the treatment is defined with a unique Custom detail tag definition.

    Unique custom-detail tag

  • The Custom detail tag values from the treatments are assigned as fields in an export definition.
  • The export definition is added to a Communication node, as shown below:

Export definition added to Communication node

  • You click the Preview Export button. When you do this, the concatenated date and time values in the table are truncated to 33 characters, as shown here:
