Problem Note 61738: The object spawner intermittently fails to launch Kerberos workspace servers
In a Kerberos environment under certain conditions, the Kerberos credential cache might be freed by the object spawner twice, causing the launch to fail. When the tk.tkegrid and tk.els object spawner loggers are set to trace, the object spawner log does not contain the following messages:
- tkelsLaunch: exit: 0
- gridRunnerThread: tkelsLaunch returned 0x0
Here is what you see with a successful launch:
2017-12-05T00:15:09,072 DEBUG [00000419] :sasprod - Obtained krb5 ccache handle: 7f8cb8020680
2017-12-05T00:15:09,080 TRACE [00000419] :sasprod - tkelsLaunch: exit: 0
2017-12-05T00:15:09,085 DEBUG [00000419] :sasprod - gridRunnerThread: tkelsLaunch returned 0x0
Here is what you see with an unsuccessful launch:
2017-12-05T03:40:03,855 DEBUG [00022743] :sasprod - Obtained krb5 ccache handle: 7f8aa80067f0
2017-12-05T03:40:03,857 TRACE [00022743] :sasprod - tkelsLaunch: freeing cred cache
2017-12-05T03:40:03,858 DEBUG [00022743] :sasprod - Freed krb5 ccache handle: 7f8aa80067f0
