SAS Enterprise Guide 7.13 and SAS Add-In for Microsoft Office 7.13 might fail to download and update to the 7.15 release. When you select the Check for updates item in either application, the following error might be displayed:

To troubleshoot this problem, do the following:

1. Enable logging in SAS Enterprise Guide or SAS Add-In for Microsoft Office and follow the steps in SAS Note 58004, "Enabling troubleshooting logging for the Check for Updates feature in SAS^® Enterprise Guide^® and SAS^® Add-In for Microsoft Office 7.11 and later." 
2. Select Check for updates again to regenerate the error so that you can capture events in the log.
   Note: The log is created in the location referenced in the TextWriter initializeData attribute that is discussed in SAS Note 58004.
3. If the log lists the following error, use the steps below to correct this issue. If this error does not appear in the log, contact SAS Technical Support.
