When you use SAS^® 9.4 TS1M4 (with Hot Fix A3Z034) or SAS^® 9.4 TS1M5, you might see an error similar to the following when running an SQL procedure query:

This problem occurs under the following conditions:

• The query contains an outer join and a newly defined variable that is a constant value.
• The new variable is included in a GROUP BY clause.

The workaround is to remove the reference to the newly created variable from the GROUP BY clause.
