Problem Note 61230: Nested ABS functions cause SAS® Scalable Performance Data Server 5.3 to end abnormally
When you use an SQL procedure with SAS Scalable Performance Data Server 5.3, the server might stop abruptly and return the following error messages:
ERROR: Error on server LIBNAME socket.
ERROR: .
ERROR: Client Generic Error - SocketWrite
ERROR: The tcpSockWrite call failed. The system error is 'Broken pipe'
The problem occurs if your PROC SQL query contains 13 or more nested absolute value (ABS) functions.
Workaround
Use IP=NO on your LIBNAME connection.
