Beginning with Hot Fix V90006 for release 7.3, the modern version of SAS Visual Analytics Viewer appends (No Data) to the saved value in a required drop-down list if that value is no longer valid. This behavior is explained in SAS Note 58824.
However, if your report includes report-level filters, then the values in the drop-down list might be different depending on when you change the report-level filter. For example, suppose that your report has a report-level filter for Region. In Section 2, you have a required drop-down list for State with a saved value of CA.
While you are viewing Section 1, you change the report-level filter to Northeast, making the saved value of CA in Section 2 no longer valid. You display Section 2 and you see this:
If you, instead, change the Region filter while Section 2 is open, then the drop-down list changes to display the first valid value for your new filter selection:
