Problem Note 60979: The Load Data to LASR directive returns "ERROR:The SAS System stopped processing this step because of insufficient memory" when loading to a new table
When you use the Load Data to LASR directive in SAS® Data Loader for Hadoop with the Hortonworks distribution of Hadoop, you can receive the following error:
ERROR: The SAS System stopped processing this step because of insufficient memory.
The error can be generated when the name of the target table for the Load Data to LASR directive is different from the Hadoop table name. You can see the following error in the SAS Data Loader for Hadoop log when tracing is enabled:
HADOOP: Streaming read CTAS error: Error while compiling statement:
FAILED: SemanticException 0:0 Error creating temporary folder on hdfs://directory_path.
Error encountered near token "token_name".
