Under some circumstances, creating a calculated data item in SAS Visual Analytics Designer might take a long time. Specifically, this performance problem can occur when the Data tab contains hundreds of data items, including data items from the data source, calculated data items, parameters, and custom categories. For example, after you click OK to finish creating the calculated item, SAS Visual Analytics Designer might take more than 30 seconds to complete the operation.
