Problem Note 60851: Old host names are not changed to the new host names for some SAS® Data Management components when you run the Update Host Name Reference task

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

The Update Host Name Reference task does not change all occurrences of old host names to new host names for some SAS Data Management Server components. However, the task does not fail. After you run the Update Host Name Reference task, SAS® Data Remediation Data Server and the SAS® Job Monitor data server might fail to start during a maintenance upgrade.

Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.

This hot fix corrects the problem for subsequent Update Host Name Reference tasks, and it prevents the related failures when a maintenance upgrade is applied after you update the host name.

Scenarios:

  • You have not run the Update Host Name Reference task. After you apply the hot fix, you should no longer have problems later when you run the Change Host option and upgrade.

  • You have run the Update Host Name Reference task but you have not upgraded. When you apply the hot fix and then run Update Host Name Reference under this scenario, you should not have any issues later when you run Update Host Name Reference and upgrade.
