Problem Note 60797: "ERROR: [SAS...][ODBC Greenplum Wire Protocol driver]Connection refused" occurs when using the TKTS driver against a Greenplum database

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

Using SAS/ACCESS® Interface to Greenplum and the Threaded Kernel Table Services (TKTS) driver to access a Greenplum database results in an error similar to the following:

ERROR: CLI error trying to establish connection: ERROR: [SAS ACCESS to
Greenplum][ODBC Greenplum Wire Protocol driver]Connection refused.
Verify Host Name and Port Number. : ERROR: [SAS ACCESS to
Greenplum][ODBC Greenplum Wire Protocol driver]Can't connect to server
on 'greenplum_server' : Unable to set driver connection attribute
ERROR: Error in the LIBNAME statement.

You encounter this issue when the database is not running on the default port (5432). This issue affects in-database procedures such as %INDGP_PUBLISH_MODEL but does not affect normal LIBNAME connections that do not use TKTS.

The workaround is to set the port to 5432 in the database.
