Problem Note 60668: Connection to SAS® Scalable Performance Data Server fails if the host name exceeds 32 characters

If your host name exceeds 32 characters, the connection to SAS Scalable Performance Data Server will fail.
Errors similar to the following are reported in the SAS log:
/* Example of Host name exceeding 32 characters */
ERROR: Unable to connect to SPD Name Server.
ERROR: Host name myhostname33char.local.domain.com not found.
ERROR: Error in the LIBNAME statement.
ERROR: Host name myhostname33char.local.domain.com not found.
ERROR: Error in the LIBNAME statement.
To circumvent this issue, use a short host name. Example: myhostname33char
