Problem Note 60629: When you use the DFSORT configuration option, "ERROR: in dynamic allocation for DDname XXXX (rc=0 error=0000 reason=0000)" occurs
In SAS® 9.4, when you set the DFSORT configuration option to DYNAUTO=IGNWKDD, DFSORT frees the sort work files that SAS had allocated. Typically, the sort work files remain allocated until SAS frees them, which allows them to be reused by multiple sort invocations or when more space is needed. When this behavior happens, you see the following error in the log:
ERROR: in dynamic allocation for DDname XXXXXX01 (rc=0 error=0000 reason=0000).
You might see several of these errors depending on how many sort work files are allocated.
The results of the job mentioned in the above ERROR message are correct.
A fix for this issue is planned for a future software release.
