Usage Note 60238: Issues are not resolved or unexpected behavior occurs after you apply a hot fix to SAS® Customer Intelligence solutions

After you apply a hot fix to a SAS® Customer Intelligence installation, either the fix might not seem to have worked or other unexpected behavior occurs.

This problem might occur because your web-browser cache persists the pre-fix objects, which interact unexpectedly with the updated core components.

If this problem occurs, follow these steps:

  1. Log off from SAS® Customer Intelligence Studio.
  2. Clear your web-browser cache.*
  3. Restart your web browser.
  4. Then log on to SAS Customer Intelligence Studio again.

Performing these steps ensures that the browser's cache is refreshed with the latest release of the software.

 


* To clear the browser cache:

  • For Microsoft Internet Explorer, select ToolsInternet Options. In the Internet Options dialog box, click the General tab. Under Browsing history, click Delete to delete the browser history.

  • For Google Chrome, enter chrome://settings/clearBrowserData into the address bar. In the dialog box that opens, select obliterate the following items from: the beginning of time to delete the browser history. As an alternative, you can click the Open menu and select SettingsAdvanced Settings. Then, under Privacy, click Clear browsing data, In the dialog box that opens, select obliterate the following items from: the beginning of time.

  • For Mozilla Firefox, enter about:preferences#advanced into the address bar and click the Network tab in the Advanced pane. Under Cached Web Content, click Clear Now to delete clear the browser cache. As an alternative, you can click the Open menu and select Options ► Advanced ► Network and click Clear Now.

  • For Apple Safari, open the Settings application and select Safari. Under Privacy & Security, click Clear History and Website Data.
