After you upgrade to SAS Enterprise Guide 7.12, your system might sporadically stop functioning. The following stack trace error is returned:
at SAS.EnhancedEditor.Presentation.EditorView.GetPartiallyVisibleLineCount()
at SAS.EnhancedEditor.Presentation.EditorView.GetVisibleLines(IList`1 visibleLines)

Workaround
- From within SAS Enterprise Guide, select Program ► Editor Options.
- In the Enhanced Editor Options dialog box, click the Autocomplete tab.
- Deselect the Enable integrated syntax help option.
Fix
To fix this issue, install the latest SAS Enterprise Guide hotfix.
