Problem Note 60834: Platform RTM for SAS® fails to load the LSF configuration when a cluster name exceeds 20 characters in length
Platform RTM for SAS might fail under the following conditions:
- You attempt to load a configuration from the cluster.
- The cluster-name string chosen for the lsf.cluster.<cluster-name> has a length that exceeds 20 characters.
Platform RTM for SAS returns the following message when you select Config ► Grid LSF Configuration ► Load Configuration from Cluster.
ERROR: Failed to load configuration. Please check cluster settings, login password and connectivity between RTM and cluster master host. Refer to Admin Guide for more information.
The advocate_error_log file contains entries similar to the following when you encounter this issue:
LSFCONFIG: Error while fetching remote file(/usr/apps/sas/lsfhome/PlatformSuite/lsf/conf/lsf.cluster.really_long_cluster_name): Code(1) Out(cat: /usr/apps/sas/lsfhome/PlatformSuite/lsf/conf/lsf.cluster.really_long_cluster_: No such file or directory
LSFCONFIG: Failed to load lsf.cluster for cluster ID: 1
A workaround for this issue is to use a shorter cluster name for the lsf.cluster.<cluster_name> file.
