Problem Note 60726: SAS® Federation Server Manager shows invalid characters for SAS® Scalable Performance Data Server data
In SAS Federation Server Manager 4.2, you might encounter errors, data loss, or corruption when the session encoding does not match the data set encoding for the data stored in the SPD Server.
This issue occurs because the SPD Server driver is incorrectly using the session encoding when connecting to the SPD Server.
A workaround for the problem is to set the SAS Federation Server’s machine MVA_SESSION_CEI to the data set encoding. But, this workaround is not effective if you need to access multiple data sets with different encodings.
