Problem Note 60655: When you run PROC REPORT with output to the ODS PDF destination, you intermittently get an S0C4 abend in the SASPDPDF module
SAS® 9.4 TS1M2 intermittently fails with an S0C4 abend in the SASPDPDF module when you use the REPORT procedure with output to the ODS PDF destination. When you encounter this issue, the following occurs:
- The JOBLOG shows that the job step completed with an U0998 error.
- The SYMPTOM DUMP OUTPUT shows that the failure was an S0C4 abend in the SASPDPDF module.
This failure occurs when memory has been exhausted while generating output through ODS with the PDF output destination.
A circumvention is to increase the region for the problem job.
A fix for this issue is planned for a future software release.
