Installation Note 60562: During the "SAS Metadata Server Node Configuration" step, the SAS® Deployment Wizard fails and returns "${loadmetadata.init.preserve.error.msg}"
When you attempt to configure a clustered metadata server, the secondary metadata server node might fail to configure. The issue occurs during the “SAS Metadata Server Node Configuration” step of the “Configure Products” stage in SAS Deployment Wizard and has occurred on all versions of Solaris 10 and 11.
The following messages appear in the following logs on the secondary metadata server.
In the Metadata Server Node Configuration Log
[SetObjectProperties] Error finding software component: The GetMetadataObjects request failed because the server is paused for OFFLINE use. The reason for the server pause is Waiting for the cluster to achieve quorum..
In the Metadata Server Log
ERROR [00000013] :sas - Could not locate 'gss_krb5_copy_ccache' in the loaded GSSAPI library.
Cause
The Solaris versions of Kerberos are out-of-date and do not meet the requirements for SAS. During the configuration, the metadata server is started on the node, but because the Kerberos libraries fail to load, the node’s metadata server gets paused for offline use. It then fails to achieve quorum with the primary metadata server. Therefore, the configuration cannot be completed successfully.
