Problem Note 60543: The error "No cell rectangle in range" occurs when you are reading an XLSX file for a named range of one cell

When you import XLSX files using the IMPORT procedure with SAS/ACCESS® Interface to PC Files, you might receive the following error:
proc import datafile = "C:\temp\test.xlsx" dbms = xlsx out = onecell replace;
range = "One";
getnames = no;
run;
range = "One";
getnames = no;
run;
No cell rectangle in range
Requested Input File Is Invalid
ERROR: Import unsuccessful. See SAS Log for details.

The problem occurs when the named range includes only one cell.
Workaround
To circumvent the problem, specify the range using the row-column format shown in this example:
proc import datafile = "C:\temp\test.xlsx" dbms = xlsx out = onecell replace;
range="Sheet1$A1:A1";
getnames = no;
run;
range="Sheet1$A1:A1";
getnames = no;
run;
