In SAS^® Inventory Optimization Workbench, the auto-promote option is not honored. This issue occurs when selecting replenishments and choosing the auto-promote option without choosing the auto-lock option. When this issue occurs, the following error occurs in the log:

The workaround for this issue is to use the auto-lock option for orders of the desired type. Through the orders workspace, you can select multiple products/facilities and promote the orders. After this, all locked orders for the selected product-facility combinations are promoted.
