In SAS Studio Enterprise Edition 3.6, a new SAS Workspace Server property, sas.default.server, was introduced.  This new property is used by the SAS administrator to globally set a default application server context via SAS^® Management Console for SAS Studio users. 

The sas.default.servers property is currently not honored in UNIX environments; it is ignored. As a result, the SAS Studio Enterprise Edition web application remains connected to the original default application server context or to the last application server context that was selected manually.
