Problem Note 60216: Purchase order plan optimization might fail with "ORA-00001: unique constraint (DI_DM.SYS_C#######) violated"

In SAS® Pack Optimization, optimization of a purchase order plan might fail with the following error in the SASMerchIntelMidTier5.4.log file:
ERROR com.sas.solutions.di.server.pko.purchaseorder.PKOPurchaseOrderServiceImpl - A SQL error occurred attempting populate the request tables.
java.sql.BatchUpdateException: ORA-00001: unique constraint (DI_DM.SYS_C#######) violated

The error is likely to occur after optimization failed for the purchase order plan in a previous run due to being out of memory. The subsequent optimization run fails with the Oracle errors above because the request tables are not properly cleaned after the out of memory failure.
The workaround for this issue is to make a copy of the purchase order plan and optimization the copy of the plan.
