Usage Note 60169: SAS® Life Science Analytics Framework - Cleaning up items from the Transitory Workspace
When cleaning up Jobs, the user has two options from the web user interface and an additional programmatic cleanup is available if the SAS® Life Science Analytics Framework 4.7.1 includes LSAF JAVA API 1.8.
Option 1: Web User Interface
A user can go in to the Publish History of a Job and delete it. Or, if the user can resolve the permission issue so that they can write to a specific area in the Repository, they can recheck it in.
Figure 1: Option 1

Recommendation: The user should first try to modify the Repository permissions to allow transitory objects to be saved into the Repository. The user should make sure the Content Write and Properties Write permissions are allowed. Then use the Publish History check-in process to check them back in and save them. If the Publish History or SAS session is first deleted, the output of the Job is destroyed and the job must be run again to re-create the output.
Option 2: Web User Interface
In the SAS Sessions tile on the Dashboard, the user can locate the job (under My Sessions drop-down selection) and delete it. Also, if there is a System Administrator who has “Manage SAS Sessions” privileges, then they can delete the session under the All Session drop-down selection.

- Note: If a user cannot invoke a delete action for an item in the transitory space, please contact SAS Technical Support for further investigation.:
JAVA API 1.8 Option
Run the following Base SAS® LSAF API Macro to determine whether the SAS® Life Science Analytics Framework has JAVA API 1.8 is installed,.
If the LOG returns the following version information, then the correct API version is installed:
- SAS Life Science Analytics Framework SAS Macro API Client Version = 1.5.PROD.253.20170221.162734
- SAS Life Science Analytics Framework Java API Client Version = 1.8.API.17.20170215.142522
If additional information is needed, open a Technical Support track or a JIRA ticket.
