Problem Note 60061: The PSMATCH procedure issue "ERROR: Failure loading the optimization extension"

You must have either SAS/IML® or SAS/OR® software installed in order to use an optimal matching method in PROC PSMATCH. When the METHOD=FULL, METHOD=OPTIMAL, or METHOD=VARRATIO option is specified in the MATCH statement and neither of these additional software products is installed, the procedure issues:
ERROR: Failure loading the optimization extension
There is no circumvention for this problem.
