Problem Note 6486: "WARNING: During insert: [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver]Fractional
truncation" message returned from SQL Server
When using Merant's ODBC 3.x SQL Server Driver, users may receive the
following warning:
WARNING: During insert: [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver]Fractional
truncation
The following code produces the warning message:
libname x odbc dsn=sqldsn uid=xxx pwd=xxxx;
data work.out;
c1='12345'; output;
c1='1'; output;
c1='.01'; output;
run;
data x.new(dbtype=(c1=smallint));
set work.out;
run;
As a workaround, the customer must recreate the table with a char(29)
database type and use a format of 29.9.
