Problem Note 59965: When you delete a note in SAS® Enterprise Case Management, the attachment for the note is not deleted

When a note in SAS® Enterprise Case Management contains an attachment, the attachment might not be deleted when you delete the note. The problem occurs when the note is the first note within a category.

For example, the note shown in Figure 1 below includes an attachment and is the first note within the CAT1 category.

If you click Delete, as shown in Figure 1, the note is deleted after you confirm the delete action, per Figure 2:

When you click image label on the Case screen to open the Attachments pane, the attachment for the deleted note is listed, as shown in Figure 3.

Although the attachment is listed in the Attachments pane, it has no content.

To work around the problem, you can delete the attachment by clicking  Trash can next to the attachment, as shown in Figure 3.
