Usage Note 59790: Export refinement is removed from Cell nodes in SAS® Customer Intelligence Studio
The Export Refinement for a Cell node is not allowed for the following nodes:
- Nodes that are upstream of the input node for the Communication node or the Export node.
- Terminal nodes, which are nodes with no downstream children.
By adding additional output, the Cell node violates the second criterion above, and it is removed from the refinement.
This behavior is documented, as shown below, in the "Refine Output" section (in "Chapter 5: Communication Node") of the SAS® Marketing Automation 6.5: User’s Guide:
Note: When a terminal node is connected to another node, it is no longer valid as a refinement node for communications in the flow, and it is removed from the relevant assigned refinements. Before you execute the campaign, make sure that the refinement nodes that you want to use are selected in the Export Refinement window.
