Problem Note 59577: All time members might not be selectable in a SAS® Financial Management model
In SAS Financial Management 5.5, you might not have the ability to select all TIME members for a model.
For example, you might encounter the problem if you define several time hierarchies that look similar to the display below.
Note: The time hierarchy used in the cycle is PERIODE.
Notice that in the hierarchy PERIODE shown above, the first month in each fiscal year is defined as a Month type, but the start and end dates are the first day of the month. This is true for each fiscal year. In the hierarchy PERIODE v2, the M0 member is defined only for the first year (FY+4).
If you create a model and switch the PERIODE hierarchy to PERIODE v2, only the members in the first year are selectable, even though the members of the other years appear in the PREVIEW panel.
In SAS Financial Management 5.3, all members were selectable. This behavior was changed in SAS Financial Management 5.5.
If your implementation requires the ability to skip dimension members, contact SAS Technical Support for a fix for this issue.
Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.
After you apply the hot fix, you must set the Java property sas.fms.allowPeriodMemberSkipping=true in the fmstudio.ini file located in the SAS-configuration-directory\Program Files\SASHome\SASFinancialManagementStudio\5.5 directory. Here is an example:
-Dsas.fms.allowPeriodMemberSkipping=true=
