Problem Note 59538: The SAS® Object Spawner incorrectly keeps ports to mbatchd processes in a CLOSE-WAIT state indefinitely

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

The SAS Object Spawner incorrectly keeps ports to mbatchd processes in a CLOSE-WAIT state indefinitely. Because these port connections do not close, you eventually encounter a situation in which there are no more available ephemeral ports. When this situation occurs, various processes might begin to fail.

Restarting the SAS Object Spawner provides an immediate circumvention.
