The SAS 360 Discover extract, transform, and load (ETL) process can fail when the DETAIL_FACT table contains duplicate records. While this situation is uncommon, the existence of duplicate records can cause the INSERT command to fail, which then causes the ETL process to fail.
Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.
Note: In this hot fix, the UPSERT option enables the system to insert new records and update existing records in order to prevent the duplicate record failure. However, the UPSERT option only runs in an interactive SAS® session. Therefore, if you run a batch session, you will still experience the ETL failure because the SYNTAXCHECK option is set by default. This setting prevents the UPSERT statement from executing and fixing the duplication issue.
