Usage Note 59327: SASĀ® authentication is markedly slower on AIX as compared to other UNIX platforms
SAS authentication under AIX runs much more slowly than it does on other UNIX platforms.
The slow performance occurs because a system file is being opened and closed much more frequently than necessary.
A change was made in the sasauth module to remove the extra file operations, which enables faster authentication through SAS under AIX.
