Problem Note 59257: The SYSDBRC macro variable does not contain the return code from the last step against a database
When you use SAS/ACCESS® software to access your database management system (DBMS) data, the macro variable SYSDBRC shows the last DBMS-specific return code that was generated. You might encounter a problem under z/OS in which running a step with BULKLOAD=YES against a DB2 table does not surface the return code to the job. In this scenario, the macro variable SYSDBRC is 0 and the return code for the job is also 0. When you encounter this problem, you must look at the output of the LOAD utility to determine whether the last step failed.
There is no workaround for this issue.
