Problem Note 59152: SAS® Enterprise Guide® might perform slowly when opening a project containing multiple external files that are located on a server
When opening a project, SAS Enterprise Guide checks the availability of the files used in the project. This step requires a connection to the server and validation for every file. For this reason, this step can be time consuming, especially when the files are stored remotely.
As a workaround, store a copy of the files locally on the same machine as SAS Enterprise Guide, and then use those files in the project.
