Problem Note 59054: The IRT procedure might fail to converge or it might produce an unreasonable estimate for the guessing parameter when RESFUNC=THREEP

If you specify the RESFUNC=THREEP option in the PROC IRT statement or in the MODEL statement, the procedure might report an estimate of zero for the guessing parameter or it might issue the following message in the log:

WARNING: The estimation algorithm did not converge.
