In SAS Customer Intelligence Studio, the Maximum value count field does not refresh properly when you switch between custom details. This problem happens when you perform steps similar to the following:

1. Create a communication or campaign definition with a custom detail. For example, you add definitions for two text fields, Text1 and Text2, with the following properties:
   • For Text1:
     • Number of Values is set to Multiple values.
     • Maximum value count is set to empty.
   • For Text2:
     • Number of Values is set to Multiple values.
     • Maximum value count is set to a number you choose (for example, 10).
2. Save and close the Manage Custom Details window.
3. Re-open the custom details.
4. Click the Text2 field. Then click the Text1 field. The value 10 now appears in the Maximum value count field (rather than the field appearing empty, as it is defined to be).

To work around this issue, close and re-open the definition. When you do, the Maximum value count field displays the correct values.
