In SAS® Size Profiling and SAS® Pack Optimization, filter preferences might not be honored. This issue occurs when you have both the SAS® Merchandise Intelligence 3.2 M4 and 3.4 clients installed. The SAS Merchandise Intelligence 3.4 client workspace directories are incorrectly named MICLIENT5.2M4 instead of MICLIENT5.4. The SAS Merchandise Intelligence 3.4 preferences are incorrectly saved to the SAS Merchandise Intelligence 3.2 M4 workspace folders.

Use the steps below to work around this issue:

1. Write down the connection information (server name and port number) for the environments that you access with your SAS Merchandise Intelligence 3.4 client.
2. Close all SAS Merchandise Intelligence clients.
3. Remove (to recycle bin) the SAS Merchandise Intelligence 3.2 M4 workspace folder located in \Documents and Settings\userid\workspace\MIClient5.2.M4.
4. Make a backup copy of the SAS Merchandise 3.4 distudio.ini file located in C:\Program Files\<SASHome>\SASMerchandiseIntelligenceClient\5.4.
5. Edit the distudio.ini file for the SAS Merchandise 3.4 client, replacing MIClient.5.2M4 with MIClient.5.4.
6. Save the distudio.ini file.
7. Restart the SAS Merchandise Intelligence 3.4 client using the server name and port number from step #1.
8. When you restart the SAS Merchandise Intelligence 3.4 client, the \Documents and Settings\userid\workspace\MIClient5.4 directory is created with new files and sub directories.
