Problem Note 59859: Date values are recorded incorrectly for the locale when you enter a data value in a Select node in SAS® Marketing Automation
In SAS Marketing Automation, when you enter a date value in a Select node, the date value is recorded incorrectly for the locale.
When you enter dates in a Select node, the node uses the US-locale (en_US) format MM/DD/YYYY instead of the UK-locale (en_GB) format DD/MM/YYYY.
For example, when you enter 03/05/2016 (meaning the third day of May 2016), the date value in the Select node displays as 05 Mar 2016, as shown below:
This problem happens when both of the following circumstances are true:
- The SAS Marketing Automation servers are set to the en_US locale.
- Some SAS Marketing Automation users use the en_GB locale, and they enter dates in that en_GB locale's format.
Notes:
- This problem occurs only for ambiguous dates.
- Unambiguous dates (for example, 27 Aug 1955) work fine.
- The problem does not occur if you use the Select node's date selector.
