If you use either a DROP statement or a RENAME statement with a full path to the data set in a SET statement, SAS Enterprise Guide might display the following error and close.

For example, the following code would cause the error:
DATA Temp;
SET "H:\ZZZ\Data300_240\orig1";
DROP Row Samples Rep Sub e2 pred2;

DROP Row Samples Rep Sub e2 pred2;
RUN;
If you use a LIBNAME statement to reference the tables, or you use the DROP= or RENAME= option, the code runs successfully.
