When extracting large amounts of data from Amazon Redshift via ODBC, you might receive the following error:
ERROR: CLI open cursor error: [Amazon][RedShift ODBC] (30) Error occurred while trying to execute a query:
ERROR: exceeded the maximum size allowed for the total set of cursor data: 64000MB.
This error occurs because of limitations in the Amazon Redshift database. The smallest size that you
can purchase has a limit if 64,000 MB. Size constraints for Amazon Redshift are found at Amazon Cursor Constraints.
If your query exceeds this size, you can update the ODBC DSN to change your additional options to Single Row Mode. Although this change makes the query run considerably slower, it does allow the query to run.
