Usage Note 59500: A new function in SAS® Model Risk Management enables you to get pending link instances

When you create or edit an object in SAS Model Risk Management, you can create a linking relationship to another business object. The link is considered pending and is not saved until the original object is saved. The pending links are displayed as read-only in the linked object before the linking object is saved. Since it is not yet saved, you cannot use the GetLinkInstancesOfType function to retrieve a pending link instance.
A new function, GetPendingLinkInstancesOfType, enables you to retrieve a collection of pending link instances for a business object. You can specify the function in a <finalize> or <validation> section in a screen definition file, but the function is not supported in the <initialize> section.
The usage of GetPendingLinkInstancesOfType is similar to the GetLinkInstancesOfType function. The required arguments for the GetPendingLinkInstancesOfType function are the following:
- linkTypeSourceSystemCd - Source system code of the link type to fetch
- linkTypeId - ID of the link type to fetch
