Usage Note 59460: How to use an HTTP proxy in SAS® Enterprise Guide® and SAS® Add-In for Microsoft Office for the "Check for Updates" feature
To use an HTTP proxy in SAS Enterprise Guide and SAS Add-In for Microsoft Office for the "Check for Updates" feature, you must make some changes to specific files.
SAS Enterprise Guide
You must edit SEGuide.exe.config
and AutoUpdate.exe.config
files. These files are located in the SAS Enterprise Guide installation directory.
SAS Add-In for Microsoft Office
You must edit the AutoUpdate.exe.config
file. This file is located in the SAS Add-In for Microsoft Office installation directory. In addition, you must create a text file named SAS.OfficeAddin.dll.config
in the same directory. This file should contain the following content:

Making the modifications
After making backup copies of these files, open each active file in a plain text editor. Add the following content with your site-specific values. Here is an example:
