Usage Note 59286: VTOC corruption occurs after you encounter abend SE37-08 when writing to a SAS® library

You might encounter Volume Table of Contents (VTOC) corruption when you try to extend to a new volume for a multi-volume SAS library if the following conditions are true:
- You are working in the z/OS 2.2 operating environment.
- Your system has Data Facility Storage Management Subsystem (DFSMS) Device Manager Secondary Space Reduction enabled.
- You encountered abend SE37.
- No storage space is available.
Note: All releases of SAS® software can be affected by this issue.
