Problem Note 59206: SAS® Visual Scenario Designer and SAS® Event Stream Processing produce different values for WEEKDAY function when the day field is a single digit
In SAS Visual Scenario Designer, you can create a scenario that uses the WEEKDAY function. You can also create a deployment that contains a scenario, and run the deployment in a SAS Event Stream Processing server. However, in SAS Event Stream Processing, the WEEKDAY function produces incorrect results. The problem occurs when you use only one digit to indicate the day field in a date in SAS Visual Scenario Designer.
Example:
The WEEKDAY function for the 5AUG2011 date generates the value of 6 in SAS Visual Scenario Designer. However, SAS Event Stream Processing server generates an incorrect value of 2.
There are no errors or warnings to indicate a problem.
To avoid the problem, use 2 digits for day field in a date in SAS Visual Scenario Designer.
Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.
After you apply the hot fix, you are not allowed to enter a single digit for a day value in a date in SAS Visual Scenario Designer.
